It’s our honour to induct seminal Australian surf rock band The Atlantics to Parkes Elvis Festival.
The Atlantics are Australia’s legendary surf band founded in 1961.

In 1963, their song Bombora, a surging surf instrumental, was hugely successful and its powerful sound resonates today with new generations of surf-music inspired bands riding the waves of The Atlantics pioneering sounds. Most well known for their classic hit, “Bombora”, their later recordings such as “Come On” are examples of 1960s garage rock. They were the first Australian rock band to write their own hits and Australia’s first international music export.
