McDonald’s Busking Championships

Festival Boulevard will be rockin’ with the McDonald’s Busking Championships at Parkes Elvis Festival.

The footpaths, street corners, cafés and shop fronts along Festival Boulevard become a stage for the brilliant array of talented, quirky and beginner artists who are performing for Festival fans passing by.

The footpaths, street corners, cafés and shop fronts along Festival Boulevard become a stage for the brilliant array of talented, quirky and beginner artists who performing for Festival fans passing by. Stroll down Festival Boulevard and listen to as many performers as you can. Many of the Elvis tribute artists you see performing at venues started out as buskers right here on the streets of Parkes.

Buskers must register and perform over at least two days of the competition for at least four hours (juniors one hour) per day. The organisers will determine your performance area. Performances must be in the style of Elvis to be considered for the competition. There are Junior and Open Categories with great prizes on offer.

Entrants are scored while performing in front of an audience between 3pm and 5pm on Saturday at the Parkes Little Theatre - this is a free event to attend.

Following judging, the top three buskers will perform for the title of McDonalds Busking Champion in the finals on the Cooke Park Main Stage on 1 pm on Sunday.

Entry for the McDonalds Busking Championships is open now. Entry fee is $25 for the senior competition and free for juniors.
