You’ll be sent the link so you can share on your own social media sites.

Blog Guidelines

  • The Festival team reserves the right to edit your blog to fit in with our brand voice along with grammar, spelling, and formatting.
  • Information such as last names and email addresses cannot be included.

  • Images of Elvis Presley cannot be supplied.
  • If the image supplied is not suitable, we reserve the right to replace the images.

Style and Formatting

Our brand’s voice is:

  • Conversational and friendly
  • Informative
  • Knowledgeable (an expert, go-to resource)
  • Motivational and positive
  • Trustworthy
  • Community-oriented

Spelling and Grammar

  • Online readers engage better with upbeat copy that’s written in the present tense. So, instead of including lines written in the past tense (e.g. “This blog is about…”), change them to the present tense (e.g. “Here are some tips…”).
  • Speak to your readers – use lots of “you” or “your” in the blog. Ask questions throughout. Engage with the audience.
  • For numbers, spell out numbers one through nine; use numerals for 10 and up.
  • Contractions are preferable (“It’s a great event to go to” vs. “It is a great event to go to…”).
  • Capitalize and use quotation marks around the titles of songs, movies or poems.
  • Double-check your work before you submit to make sure there are no errors.
