Elvis Edible Art Challenge

This weekend’s challenge is to make Elvis themed food that’s almost too good looking to eat.

We want to see your hip swivelling jelly art, elaborate cake toppers, perfectly plated dishes, The King’s twist on a peanut butter, banana, and bacon sandwich and any other manifestation of your creativity in the kitchen.

Just remember, your Edible Art Creation must be Elvis themed and respectful to The King.

The challenge will open on the Parkes Elvis Festival facebook page at 10am on Saturday, 4 September and close at 9am on Monday, 6 September.

How do I participate?

Take a photo of your creation with the words Parkes Elvis Festival in the picture (ie written on paper next to your creation). The label can’t be added as an overlay to an existing picture.

Go to the Festival’s facebook page. Post the image of your creation in the comments of the challenge post that will appear at 20am on Saturday.

Ask your friends, family and colleagues to like and comment on your entry within the post.

The image with the most likes and comments by 9am on Monday will be sent a gift pack including some of the region’s food products and Parkes Elvis Festival merchandise.

Now for a little less conversation and a lot more cooking!
