Soul Movers

This brand-new addition to Parkes Elvis Festival is bound to have you wiggling in your seat. Fronted by charismatic frontwoman Lizzie Mack and her brother in Soul, guitarist Murray Cook, (ex-Red Wiggle). The Soul Movers are a Sydney-based, rockin’ pop and funky soul band.

The Soul Movers include in their number, groove bass player Andy Newman (The Visitors), Marko Simec on keys (Waiting For Guinness) and drummer to the stars, Lozz Benson.

Their latest album, Bona Fide, was part recorded in Sun Studios, Memphis, on Sam Phillip’s original equipment – the resulting tracks have the ‘sound of Sun’ in all of them.

The Soul Movers musical recipe combines sixties-style soul with a sprinkling of pop all laid down on a retro rhythm and blues slab. Their sound is all about creating an unforgettable, soul-moving performance that stays with audiences long after the last encore. Don’t miss this dynamic 60 minute show.
