Many of the Elvis tribute artists you see performing at venues across the Festival started out as buskers right here on the streets of Parkes. Are you the next big thing?
Each year, talented buskers line Clarinda Street to wow the crowds and compete for the title of winner: Parkes Elvis Festival Busking Competition.
There are great prizes on offer in both the Junior and Open Categories, with the top three buskers decided by three Festival judges. All buskers must perform on the Memphis Satellite Stage between 4pm & 6pm on Friday 11 OR Saturday 12 January to be considered as a finalist.
Buskers must register and perform over at least two days of the competition for at least four hours (juniors one hour) per day. The organisers will determine your performance area. Performances must be in the style of Elvis to be considered for the competition. The top three buskers must be available to perform for the title in the finals on the Cooke Park Main Stage between 1pm & 3pm on Sunday 13 January.
