As a five-year-old Steve Lennox watched Love Me Tender at Bourke Picture Theatre, though it  wasn’t until he was 16 that he began collecting Elvis Presley memorabilia in earnest and his lifelong passion began.

Steve started performing as Elvis at the first Parkes Elvis Festival and in 1997, with his mother’s permission, he changed his name by deed poll. Elvis Lennox went on to wider fame as the one of the local stars of the 2007 SBS documentary Elvis Lives in Parkes.

Elvis and his wife Debbie have collected thousands of items of Elvis Presley memorabilia over the decades, with three-quarters of their collection on display for the 2018 Festival.

Take the opportunity to shake hands with a local Parkes legend and browse his amazing collection.

Western Road Liners operates a shuttle service to this location. See bus schedule for further details.
