On a Friday night, in June 1972, Elvis would perform in New York’s Madison Square Garden. Having never before sung a live concert in New York, some of his fans had been waiting for this moment for seventeen years. The crowd came to hear Elvis – even his support acts, and the MC were drowned out at the chants and shouts for Elvis to appear. And what occurred was one of the greatest concerts that Elvis ever gave.
